All-Outdoors Rafting

Back
in the early 1960s, George
Armstrong and his family started taking friends along with them
on excursions into California’s river canyons. Soon enough,
the crowd had more friends of friends than Armstrongs, and All-Outdoors
California Whitewater Rafting was officially born. Since then
our expertise, number of guides, and the range of rivers we run has
grown, but we’ve
never lost touch with our roots. Over 45 years after our first commercial
trips, we are still family-owned and operated, and we still love
sharing beautiful canyons and the rivers that carve them.
Although we run rivers all over California, we do have a few favorites. The South Fork of the American may get crowded on hot summer days, but its golden-poppy hillsides in spring, and the thrill of the Gorge’s haystack waves, bring smiles year after year. And on the other end of the spectrum, Cherry Creek still leaves us in awe. It’s not just the whitewater—which everyone agrees is tremendous—it’s the moments of calm in the storm and the unique human bonds that are created in water this powerful.
And of course, no list of California rivers is complete without the Tuolumne and its deep swimming holes, clear water, and the rushing whitewater at Clavey Falls.
All-Outdoors California Whitewater Rafting is one of the most respected outfitters in California because we treat our guests, staff, colleagues, and environment with respect: placing safety, love of rivers, and commitment to excellence first. We look forward to sharing California’s rivers with you, from your first trip on the South Fork, to the ultimate challenge of Cherry Creek’s Class V Miracle Mile.
